Velotric Packer 1 Ebike

We just moved to the beach in FL and I was noticing all the E-bikes rolling around. I was looking around for something that would accommodate my 4 year old and I to encourage more outdoor time and this was the perfect solution. The Packer 1 is super smooth, gives plenty of room, and the battery is a tank on and off road! I’m so hooked I’ve now been exploring other Velotric Fat Tire models to selfishly take on the beach by myself. Well done, Velotric.

Our trail crew received a donation of 2 velotric bikes to fix the trails in Old Fort NC after hurricane Helene. The bikes had been in the floods, totally submerged in the French broad. Silt and water inside the still working heat lamps they work flawlessly. We've been blown away by how well these bikes have suited our trail crew.

We have used these bikes to cut hundreds of trees with chainsaws, access areas of Pisgah National Forest that were otherwise inaccessible at the time to assess the trails for the USFS. These bikes were a godsend. The pass through design makes them so easy to ride with chainsaw chaps on, saving us time, Energy And risk. We were pedaling our MTB's to cut trees and assess before these bikes got to us.

These bikes are not meant to do what we do with them and they are amazing at it. I've been using the cargo bike daily to haul chainsaws, trash and generally hoon on the trails. For reference I'm a PMBIA level 2 AIR instructor with ebike instructor model and I've ridden most of the big brand emtbs.

I suggest these bikes to everyone I talk to about them. I prefer this cargo bike over the "real" big brand emtbs we have.

I will say, with the pass through and a heavy load strapped to the rack you can feel some torsional flex in the frame, but we've only. Noticed it when we either overweight or, or carry a large saw on rough trails.

Absolutely love this bike, I have had it for about 2.5 weeks and have already put 120+ miles on it! Was inspired to get one after my partner purchased the Nomad 2X; one ride and I had to get my own Velotric. I received the child balustrade as a free gift with my Packer 1 and it’s perfect to allow my two toddlers to ride on the back of my bike when we go to the grocery store or a nice cruise through the beach. Definitely would recommend to anyone in the market for an electric bike. I picked out the gorgeous blue, she is a beauty!
